The Gestra BAE 210 incorporates a sample valve, an adjustable stage nozzle, and an electric actuator to provide a high capacity supervision-free automatically controlled continuous blowdown valve. Blowdown is automatically closed on boiler shut-down. The pressure rating is PN 40 to PN 320. For use when combined with the LRG conductivity probe.

Rotork Torque Limiting Brake


Rotork offers a patented mechanical torque limiting brake for actuators that ensures maximum safety and valve protection in the event of an actuator stalling due to electrical fault, incorrect phase rotation, or incorrect wiring. The brake is field-calibrated to limit torque to 1.5 - 2.0 times the valve's required torque. The brake never engages during normal torque and switch control.

Rotork offers the Type K retrofit damper drives as drop-in replacements of existing dampers. A new Type K Retrofit has the same mounting dimensions as an existing unit, including linkage and connecting rods, and can be installed within a few hours using normal hand tools (saving costs of field-fabrication). The Type K has a 100% duty cycle, and a 90 degree stroke speed of as low as 3 seconds with up to 20,800 lbf.ft of torque.

The Rotork Skilmatic SB405 is a general purpose electro-hydraulic actuator with a pressure switch or end-of-stroke limit switch for fail-safe open, close, or last position. An optional quick-release hydraulic valve is available for fail-safe emergency shutdown applications. An internal positioner gives an output of valve position, accepts an analog input signal, and positions the actuator to within two degrees.

The Rotork Skilmatic SB301 is a compact two position general purpose actuator for control and fail-safe valve isolation on all types of butterfly valves, ball vales, and dampers. Fail-safe spring return action can be for clockwise or anti-clockwise, and for open or close positioning during power failure. Biodegradable gearbox oil is available for water and food applications. High temperature thermal jackets are also available.

The Rotork Pakscan Wireless video gives an animated graphical representation of how the Pakscan can communicate wirelessly with field control units. Field units like the IQ3 actuator can be fitted with a wireless module to create a wireless mesh network that can communicate with the master control through other field units, which is especially useful for when a field unit's signal is blocked from direct contact with the master unit.

The Rotork Pakscan Loop Configuration Process video shows the four key loopback steps between the master station and the field control units: reset, communication stops, FCUs loopback, and the master station locating each FCU individually. When a field unit is turned off, the unit's parallel loop bypass relay is closed which in turn bypasses the unit's detector circuitry. Only a master station can command a field unit to turn its loopback off.

The loop interface circuit has two main parts, (1) the loopback circuit that enables the master station to recognize the field unit's position within the loop as well as to isolate potential loop faults, and (2) the loop current transceiver that sends and receives data from the master station.
